Things seem fairly surreal here in Kentucky. Despite repeated pleas from the powers that be for people to not go in crowds and stay at home the stores are crowded with everyone scrambling to buy necessities. They were showing Costco on the news and it looked like black Friday.
Also on Rachel Ray this morning I heard that some are selling hand sanitizer for $650.00. If you can’t find alcohol then look for Everclear which is grain alcohol, 190 proof. My husband went to the Kroger spirits shop and found plenty on the shelf.
While he was at Kroger he said people were coming out with two and three carts of groceries per family. The parking lot so full he had to park way in the back.
Libraries have closed, and all events have been shut down. My son said the Dollar Tree will be closing for a time. They pay their employees more than their making at this time. Small businesses are taking a huge hit as well, all except for the grocery stores.
Anyway this is what I can share for now about our experience. What is happening where you live? Please let us know what’s happening in your area?
