The Tallit – Prayer shawl

I would like to present some interesting teaching concerning the Tallit.
This would have been worn by Christ. It is to be knee length. It would be worn over the clothing resting on the shoulders. When placed over the head in prayer, it forms a “tent” or “tabernacle.” The corners of the Tallit are called Kanaph’s, or “Wings.” Attached to these four corners are fringes called “Tzitzit.” These fringes must be wrapped and tied a certain way. First, there are four strands that are doubled, making eight. One strand is left longer than the others and is wound around the other seven ends and double-knotted; this is done repeatedly so as to make a total of five double knots separated by four sections of winding. These winding’s are of blue, to signify Heaven, The abode of the author of the Law.
There are two different ways of winding and tying these fringes (Tzitzit) Both with the same outcome. One is to to tie them in a pattern of 7-8-11-13 winds between the knots. These numbers add up to 39, which are equivalent of the words, “The Lord IS One.” Also, 40 lashes, save one. Another way to wrap them is, 10-5-6-5, This is equivalent to YHVH. Now, the Tzitzit is comprised of eight strings and five knots. That along with the numerical value of the word Tzitzit (600) adds up to 613.
This is the number of laws given to Moses. It was one of these fringes (Tiztzit) that the woman with the issue of blood grabbed and was healed. Part of the answer to this healing is found in the verse which says that the Lord will arise with healing in His “Wings” (Kanaph’s) Mal. 4:2. See also, Ruth 2:12, Ps. 17:8, Ps. 36:7. Jesus said, He felt virtue leave Him, Why? Earlier in Scripture, David cut off one of Saul’s Tzitzit as He slept. 1Sam. 24. This was thought to be the same as taking someones identity, their essence. She did not remove the tzitzit from Jesus’ Tallit, but just grabbing onto it was grabbing onto Christs Essence. Therefore, He felt virtue leave Him. I do not know which “law” is written that deals with her issue of blood, but she clung to that, and that messiah would have healing in His wings. And held tightly to YHVH. Psalm 91:4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
