John 1:1-3
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
We see here that in the beginning Jesus existed. “He was in the beginning with God” also without him nothing was made. God spoke Psalm 33:9 “For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm.” Genesis 1′ 3 “3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light”. God speaks things into existence that were not. The word of God.
John 1:14
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
We tend to see Jesus as coming onto the scene with His birth but Jesus existed with God from the beginning. God speaks; Genesis 1:26 “26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.”
John 14:10
Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.
Jesus goes on to say John 14:11 “11 Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves.”
“The Father must be distinct from the Son who is in him, and the Son must be distinct from the Father, in whom he is; the Father and Son, though of one and the same nature, cannot be one, and the same person”
Just as God spoke things into existence in the beginning Jesus speaks and raises the dead, heals the sick, the blind see, and the lame walk. Jesus speaks into existence and gives life.
