If I Fall
As a child learning to ride my bike, Dad held onto me, running beside me as I pedaled to keep me from falling. Eventually, he let go, but held his hand to my back to steady me. Finally, he let go completely but still ran beside me so I knew he was there to catch me if I fell.
God is like that during the hard times, He holds us, “running” beside us to keep us from falling. As things get better, He lets go, but holds His hand to our backs to steady us. Finally, He lets go completely but still “runs” beside us to let us know He is here to catch us if we fall.
Good morning and Welcome.
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
