1 Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy,
To the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:
Grace to you and peace [a]from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
2 We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers, 3 remembering without ceasing your work of faith, labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of our God and Father, 4 knowing, beloved brethren, your election by God. 5 For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance, as you know what kind of men we were among you for your sake.
6 And you became followers of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit, 7 so that you became examples to all in Macedonia and Achaia who believe. 8 For from you the word of the Lord has sounded forth, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place. Your faith toward God has gone out, so that we do not need to say anything. 9 For they themselves declare concerning us what manner of entry we had to you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, 10 and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.
Good morning and welcome
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen

Good morning. Please keep the Midwestern states in the US in your prayers. The storms that are ravaging that area are affecting our own 7.genie, gene4791and others who come to CAC.
Today may be the only day for mowing, if there is no rain. For me? One clap of thunder, and I am going into the house and staying there.
I posted this yesterday. I live on high ground. Please pray for those in these flooded areas:
..........I will be the first to admit I have a very poor sense of direction. I set out for Church today. I live in Barren County and was going to Metcalfe County. The main road was closed off. I took a detour. I started getting lost and was stopped by another blocked road. I typed in the Church address and it brought me to another blocked off road. I then gave up, and typed in my home address? Another blocked road!. I then did what I should have done in the first place. I flagged down a vehicle. A woman my age asked what was the problem. I told her. She said to turn around and follow her. She would lead me to a good road, and I could take that to 70 West. What an ANGEL!... I am now safe at home and just finished breakfast. The positive side? I saw a lot of KY I had never seen before. Also? There are a LOT of farms right now that have "Lake Front Property"... (*S*)..s/.
I tried to drive to Church yesterday. My journey seemed to be right out of a Marx Brother's Movie. My neighbors made it to church. If the weather stays the same (It is supposed to, I asked if I could follow them this coming Sunday). As for GPS? They cannot keep up with road closures in the surrounding Counties. The Plus side? Thank you, Lord, for my home being on "High Ground"......
Good Morning. God Bless All Here Today.

Very cloudy today. But no rain yet. I want to eliminate the jungle of grass on my property. If the rain does not stop? I may invite a herd of goats to sub-let my yard.
My city "rents" goats occasionally to take care of open spaces when they become overgrown.
Do the goats charge a lot? And is there a "Goat Union" I will have to deal with? (*S*)../s.

--------- The Zebakh
Monday, April 7, 2025
Zebakh is Hebrew for sacrifice. The priests of Israel would offer up daily the zebakh; the sacrificial offerings on the altar of God. They never offered up doctrines, stories, talk, or religion- only sacrifices. As in the days of the temple, our faith centers on a Zebakh; the sacrificial offering of Messiah's life. God did not offer up a doctrine on Calvary. Thus, the offering of our faith isn't words, it's the life of Messiah. Unlike every other religion or philosophy, our faith never consists of just words, doctrines, or even teachings. It consists of an actual life-giving offering. Therefore, your walk must never consist primarily of words, doctrine, or even talk about the Lord. That's good, but it must consist of the Sacrifice, the Lord Himself, His very life. Thus, the offering you give back to God must likewise never be words but real life on His altar. Leave all the issues and concerns of your life which are beside the point and get back to Calvary. There you will find the Zebakh, the true offering given to you- the very life of God.

Today's Mission - Go beyond religion and doctrine today and get to the very reality and presence of God.
