41 Every year Jesus’ parents went to Jerusalem for the Festival of the Passover. 42 When he was twelve years old, they went up to the festival, according to the custom. 43 After the festival was over, while his parents were returning home, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem, but they were unaware of it. 44 Thinking he was in their company, they traveled on for a day. Then they began looking for him among their relatives and friends. 45 When they did not find him, they went back to Jerusalem to look for him. 46 After three days they found him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. 47 Everyone who heard him was amazed at his understanding and his answers. 48 When his parents saw him, they were astonished. His mother said to him, “Son, why have you treated us like this? Your father and I have been anxiously searching for you.”
49 “Why were you searching for me?” he asked. “Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house?”[f] 50 But they did not understand what he was saying to them.
51 Then he went down to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them. But his mother treasured all these things in her heart. 52 And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.
Good morning and welcome
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen

-- And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing. 49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business? 50 And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them. (Luke 2:47-50)
Even as a child He felt under divine compulsion to be about His Father's affairs.
Neither the word business nor affairs nor house is in the original New Testament Greek. Just My Father’s. Just His.
The word translated "about" means a "fixed place." "I must be in (a fixed place with) the Father." Yet the word used is an intermediate word between two others. One being "in," and the other being "toward." < The mediator.
ἐν, pronounced en, simply means in, on, at, by, with and/or among.
Thanks WYLAT
Thanks for pointing that out, HpO. Mostly I just use KJV. NLT version says, “Father’s house”.
-- But why did you need to search?” he asked. “Didn’t you know that I must be in my Father’s house?”(Luke 2:49) (NLT)
As a 12 years child, Jesus Christ already presenting Himself being sent by His Real Father, God the Father.
As an adult, Jesus Christ drove with a scourge of small cord those doing business in the temple during the Feast of Passover.
-- And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables; 1 And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise. (John 2:15-16)
-- I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. (John 5:30)
-- Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. (John 5:19)
Question is, Did Mary understand her early teenager of a son and all that you highlighted above? “It is necessary for Me to be in, on, at, by, with and among My Father’s”, 12-year old Jesus admonished all-anxious Mary and Joseph, “don’t you get it?” No, and she didn’t say anything back either, but just regarded what He said guardedly and kept it thoroughly (διετήρει = dietērei) to herself, in her heart (Luke 2:51). Only much later on did she finally get it - that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinful men, and be crucified, and on the third day rise from the dead. And not only that, she then got to tell these very things to the likewise hitherto clueless apostles themselves. (Luke 24:7, 10) ✔️
I know you didn't write this to me. I have often thought about Mary. It was a difficult place to be in. She knew Jesus is God's son and yet she is a parent given the responsibility of raising and protecting "her" son. To Mary Jesus is her son. Imagine the mixed thoughts and emotions she must have had.
Yes, the emotion Mary had at the time.
Thank you, 7.genie
That’s the imagination these verses take me to. All the time. What a blessed sister in the Lord, this Mary was. And such a mother! Praise God for choosing her in the first place.
Jesus Christ knew more about God the Father than Mary does. They have been together from the beginning. (John 1:1-14)
Did you notice that Jesus Christ addressed Mary as “”WOMAN””(not mother) on two occasions? [1] When He perform the first miracle, water into wine. [2] when He was in the cross.
[1] -- Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. (John 2:4)
[2] -- When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! 27 Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! (John 19:26-27)
Mary has no blood relation with Jesus Christ. Though she is blessed among women.
-- But before the marriage took place, while she was still a virgin, she became pregnant through the power of the Holy Spirit. (Matt 1:18-19) (NLT)
-- Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (John 1:13-14)
The pregnancy is likened to the Surrogacy we know today in the Modern Science. Only the complete seed of Jesus Christ is place through the Holy Spirit.
Amen. And thanks for your words, and taking me deeply into them.
-- And when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem, seeking him. 46 And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions (Luke 2:45-46)
This took place in the spring when Jesus was twelve and one-half years old, and yet His understanding amazed the teachers at the Temple. Now how could this be? Most twelve and one-half year olds would get a smile and a pat on the head from a rabbi, and they would say, "Oh! Isn't that cute?" But this young fellow was amazing them at the things that He understood.
Jesus not only had an extraordinary mind, as is revealed here in Luke 2, but also, He must have had an extraordinary education—one that was unique in that the greatest mind that ever lived was able to, at the age of twelve, confound or amaze those who had studied the word of God perhaps twenty, thirty, forty, fifty years. That indicates not only an extraordinary mind, but also an extraordinary education. None of us has been able to do anything like that.
Psalm 119:97-104 O how love I, thy law! it is my meditation all day.
Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than my enemies: for they are ever with me.
I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.
I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.
I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word.
I have not departed from thy judgments: for thou hast taught me.
How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore, I hate every false way.
Prayer request; A four month old baby went into the hospital yesterday with covid and RSV. It's a dangerous situation for the child. Please pray for her.
May God watch over this child.
I just saw an article on China. They are going back to masks and screening citizens.
They are saying it's just the seasonal flu causing the problems but China is not known for their honesty. Makes one wonder what's really going on with the kids there.
Good morning everyone. I'm a little later than usual this morning. It's eighteen degrees outside so I guess getting out of the warm bed wasn't as easy this morning.
These were the first recorded words of Jesus and refer to: Psalm 40:5-11 Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered. Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required. Then said I, Lo, I come in the volume of the book it is written of me, I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart. I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, thou knowest. I have not hidden thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation. Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O LORD: let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me.
The last recorded words were, "It is finished": that is, the Father's business which He came to do.
Good Morning. God Bless All Here Today.
Back on the road visiting schools. for most of the week.
I don't like it when your gone.
Two stories from this morning...
The first concerns Air marshals. According to the head of the Air marshals, the only flights that have Air marshals are those that have people on them, which flew into, or around DC. in January of 2021. These flights have the marshals on them, because the people are followed by them onto the planes. A majority of these people never even went to DC. on Jan. 6th. Have committed no crimes, yet are followed like criminals.
The second concerns soldiers who were in Afghanistan.
Those who are leaving the military, who were "ordered" to leave equipment behind, are now being charged thousands of dollars by the government for doing so.
Oh my goodness. I feel so sorry for those soldiers. If I were them I'd take it to court. I thought all flights were now required to have marshals on them since 9/11. People think they're protected on flights when they aren't.
Don't you know that Grandmas and those who weren't even in DC. but flew into the
general area, are more dangerous than any foreign born terrorists?
Just want to add to the above stories......
I just saw video of one of the prisoners that Israel released. He is being interviewed. His arms are wrapped up to the shoulders. Both in slings. He is telling of how he was beaten by the Jews, they broke both his hands. His back is mangled. He was on the floor in pain with no medication. Others had to feed him and give him water.......
Except...... There is video of his release from prison for the swap. Both arms are fine. He had no problem grabbing the rail to board the bus he was taking for the exchange.......
These are the people we are dealing with.
They have to vilify the Jews in order to justify their hatred.
They absolutely know there are terrorist cells now in the US. Instead of chasing these people they are after Americans flying to DC, go figure. A serious case of the stupids.
On another note.....
I have wondered for some time concerning those which come with the mark of the beast, saying: "Take this mark, or lose your head."
Knowing what that mark says in Arabic, I have had a bit of a time trying to figure out how the world would capitulate to it...........

Now that I see many gathered together against Israel, bowing to Islam, as well as multiple videos of those falling for Osama's letter as well as now reading the Koran, it's not such a far off possibility.
P.S. This is the same mark you will see on the green head scarfs warn by Hamas.
I know. I've seen the articles about Osama's letter. I did not see the letter. I tried to see it but it has been taken down. A horrible man who wished to kill all Americans. Now has Americans reading his garbage and siding with him. I can't believe the stupidity. But then most young people today don't know how to read a clock until it's digital. Or who won the civil war. Or why we celebrate the 4th of July. They don't know how hard fought our freedom in this country was fought for.

What is so appealing about that? Please tell me because I don't see it.
Just a new fad. The sheeple will follow any voice, because they are not familiar with that of the Shepherd.
-- Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the passover. 42 And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast. 43 And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it. (Luke 2:41-43) (KJV)
Days is plural (v 43). How many days are there in the feast of Passover, as the instructions are given back in the Old Testament, in Exodus 12, Leviticus 23, and Numbers 9? One day to the feast of Passover; seven days to the Feast of Unleavened Bread.
-- In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD'S passover. 6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread. 7 In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. (Lev 23:5-7) (KJV)

....... Appearing Beautiful or Being Beautiful
Wednesday, November 29, 2023
1 Peter 3:4 says, "Women are to have a quiet spirit." The Greek word there means, undisturbed. Are you disturbed? It's not beautiful. What does God find beautiful or ugly? When you're disturbed, upset, or angry, it's not a beautiful thing. When you're a bitter person, filled with fear, discontent, frustrated, and never satisfied, that's not beautiful. A person who's in conflict with others, jealous, full of self-pity, always worrying, that's not beautiful either. All these things are different ways of being disturbed. God calls us to have an undisturbed spirit. Start becoming truly beautiful by adorning yourself with an undisturbed spirit of peace, joy, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, contentment and blessing. We're all called to be part of the bride. Cultivate a spirit that doesn't get upset so easily, doesn't get anxious, or bent out of shape, full of crisis, and fearful. Keep yourself in Messiah's shalom by resting in His love. You'll not only have peace, blessings, and contentment, but it'll be something else. You'll be beautiful to God.
From Message #631 - Beautiful Women
Scripture: 1 Peter 3:3-4
TODAY'S MISSION - Today seek not to look beautiful - but to be truly beautiful in God's Spirit.
Good post. I am currently undisturbed.
When He was twelve years old, Jesus said to His parents, “Did you not know that it is necessary for Me to be in My Father’s (ἐν τοῖς τοῦ Πατρός μου δεῖ εἶναί με = en tois tou Patros mou dei einai me)?” (Luke 2:42-43, 49) ✔️
