2 You know, brothers and sisters, that our visit to you was not without results. 2 We had previously suffered and been treated outrageously in Philippi, as you know, but with the help of our God we dared to tell you his gospel in the face of strong opposition. 3 For the appeal we make does not spring from error or impure motives, nor are we trying to trick you. 4 On the contrary, we speak as those approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel. We are not trying to please people but God, who tests our hearts. 5 You know we never used flattery, nor did we put on a mask to cover up greed—God is our witness. 6 We were not looking for praise from people, not from you or anyone else, even though as apostles of Christ we could have asserted our authority. 7 Instead, we were like young children[a] among you.
Just as a nursing mother cares for her children, 8 so we cared for you. Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well. 9 Surely you remember, brothers and sisters, our toil and hardship; we worked night and day in order not to be a burden to anyone while we preached the gospel of God to you. 10 You are witnesses, and so is God, of how holy, righteous and blameless we were among you who believed. 11 For you know that we dealt with each of you as a father deals with his own children, 12 encouraging, comforting and urging you to live lives worthy of God, who calls you into his kingdom and glory.
13 And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe. 14 For you, brothers and sisters, became imitators of God’s churches in Judea, which are in Christ Jesus: You suffered from your own people the same things those churches suffered from the Jews 15 who killed the Lord Jesus and the prophets and also drove us out. They displease God and are hostile to everyone 16 in their effort to keep us from speaking to the Gentiles so that they may be saved. In this way they always heap up their sins to the limit. The wrath of God has come upon them at last.[b]
17 But, brothers and sisters, when we were orphaned by being separated from you for a short time (in person, not in thought), out of our intense longing we made every effort to see you. 18 For we wanted to come to you—certainly I, Paul, did, again and again—but Satan blocked our way. 19 For what is our hope, our joy, or the crown in which we will glory in the presence of our Lord Jesus when he comes? Is it not you? 20 Indeed, you are our glory and joy.
Good morning and welcome
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen

Good morning everyone.
Good morning. It's still dark out but the four legged furball in my lap wanted out. So here I am. 🙄
I know that story first hand with my dogs.
A Bible prophecy fulfilled

Good Morning. God Bless All Here Today.
Good morning Gene.
I posted the following a few days ago on Facebook:
"There are Prophecies in the Bible that made no sense when I was a child. But I am living in a world that has changed rapidly. My grandfather, born in 1879, in the middle of the Industrial Revolution? The world's knowledge doubled in only 150 years. My parents in the 1920's? Planes, Radios, Motion pictures? Less than 75 years. My generation of the 1950's? Television. Rockets. Satellites? Less than 35 years. Now I live in a world that is doubling the world's knowledge every 2 years. We have very quickly gone from:
1.Traveling by sail and horseback.
2. Communicating by writing.
3. And clothing ourselves with an Agrarian economy to:
1. Traveling at the Speed of Sound.
2. Communicating at the Speed of Light.
3. Clothing ourselves with 'cloth" that we can put together atom by atom/molecule by molecule.
The two witnesses are killed by the Antichrist and their bodies are left in the streets of Jerusalem and the entire world watches it as it happens. Today a 9-year-old child can take an I-Phone out of his back pocket and watch things all over the world as it is happening. The False prophet will make an "Image of the Antichrist". It will be able to move and speak. It will kill anyone that refuses to worship the Antichrist. *** We live in a world where Androids are all over the world. Some have been recognized as "citizens". Many mis-guided Christians believe that the world will be converted and then Jesus will return. Except Jesus stated the OPPOSITE in the New Testament. ...... Darkness is quickly descending all over the Earth. Non-Believers see it as the opposite. If you light a match at noon? You will not be able to see it from a hundred feet away. If you light that same match on a mountain in the dark of night? It can be seen 25 miles away. We need to be a light in the darkness. God could have allowed us to be born, live, and die at any time in world history. He chose us to be here now. As Paul did? We have to "run the race". And as the world grows darker? Let us lift up our heads and rejoice. Our Redemption draws near."
Amen, Hallelujah!!
Just want to let everyone know I'll be offline for a little while. It's my sister in laws birthday and we are having a celebration today.
Three major qualities in Christian living: Holily. Justly. Unblameably.
And be the light in this world of darkness.
I got back from church. The sermon was on the second chapter in James: 18-26"
Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
...... This is special for me. I am 2nd Generation Irish/Italian. Raised in the Catholic Church and was an Altar Boy back in the 60's when the Mass was in Latin. I was exposed to the Scriptures. When I was 22, I had worked full time and went to college full time. After I wanted a long vacation. I bicycled thousands of miles across the U.S. on the "Bike-Centennial Trail" in 1977. (Now called the TransAmerica Trail). Working in KY at odd jobs to earn money, a Baptist Preacher asked me questions about religion. I told him that I believed in God and in His Son, Jesus. At one point, he said, "Congratulations. That is not worth a pitcher of Spit".... The remark shocked me and I did not undertsand it (THEN). Years later, I am in my late 30's. I am reading enormous amounts of books to include former atheists like C.S. Lewis, and later Lee Strobel. After an immense amount of reading, I agreed with what C. S. Lewis stated. Either Jesus was everything he said He was, or this was the biggest hoax in world history. The evidence showed it was the former. What happened to me? "The devils also believe, and tremble." If Satan believes in God. And he believes in Jesus. And he obeys Jesus when commanded by Him? I realized that if that was ALL I was bringing to the table? Then I was in serious trouble!. As a I told the pastor after services today? Many will have an experience and will state, "It scared the H*"LL out of me". The pastor laughed because at that moment long ago, "I had the H*LL scared INTO me".... A seed was planted. It did not sprout completely until over 15 years later. Thank you Jesus. Can I get an "Amen"?
Each day the world grows darker.... The prince of this world is running out of time.;
I am posting this from 1 Corinthians; Chapter 13: "Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity."
.......... On this? As citizens in this country? We have the right to defend our homes, ourselves, our loved ones, our families. We even have the right to intervene and defend total strangers. In the dark times ahead? We need to pray to God for wisdom and self-control. If we defend ourselves and others? We do it knowing it is a last resort. Not something we are proud of, or take pleasure in. But something we are forced to do. We need to pray for guidance, wisdom, and discernment during these troubled times ahead. And it will get worse. Much worse.
God be with you all.
