I’ve Been Thinking

My husband took this picture of the full moon through our grape arbor in the back.

We’ve had a lot of storms lately, first a heavy snow storm in February and now we’ve recently had two severe weather days. My yard is littered with branches everywhere. We’ll be playing pick up sticks for a long time before we can do any mowing.

Daily I search for articles of interest for the channel and lately all I see is storms. In in case you don’t know we are a very unpopular group. If your a conservative Christian, and then if your white as well that puts you in another category. I wish the world would stop thinking of people in terms of the skin they’re born in because that doesn’t automatically put us into the same group. I can hardly find anything positive written about Christians unless a Christian is writing it. Instead I see words like bigot, hater, homophobe. We are being pressed from every side. Many Christians are going through personal trials in they’re lives as well.

So I starting thinking about this and realize that nature teaches us lessons and spiritual principles. Heavy snow storms, strong winds, ice storms teach us that what is weak will be broken, and what is left standing is strong.

Jesus said “”When it is evening, you say, «It will be fair weather; for the sky is red.» And in the morning, ‘It will be stormy today, for the sky is red and threatening. ‘ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.” Matthew 16.

So how do we interpret these signs? I think we’re all on the same page believing that we are in the last days and going into a very dangerous time in history. I think many of us believe we are on the doorstep of a great time of judgement and trial for the whole world. And here we are in Passover, proceeding resurrection Sunday.

I know the Lord wants us to be strong, what’s left standing needs to be strong. I’m not a prophet and I don’t know what we might face in the coming year or years if the Lord tarries. I do know that the pressure to change according to the worlds standards is heavy and will get heavier as time goes by. We need our roots to go down deep and our branches to be strong. We need to be like the giant sequoia tree’s which are the strongest in the world. Get prepared, be prepared because rejection is hard, and the pressure to change is heavy.

I welcome all thoughts concerning this OP. If the Lord has shown you anything recently about please share with us.

Much Love
