DANIEL BOBINSKI
The LIES of the Left grow with each day. It seems many people have awakened since the song and dance of “two-weeks to flatten the curve,” but the lies of the Left have simultaneously intensified. People ask me if I think the country can be saved. My answer is the chances get slimmer every day.
From my view, the only way America has chance of surviving as it was designed is if God is involved. We will need His intervention.
With that said, let’s address what’s happening with the church. How often are preachers LEADING their congregations in prayer for our country? What are they doing with Matthew 5:44, which says to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us? What are they doing to demonstrate 1 Timothy 2:1-2 to their congregations? (Pray for those in authority.)
It’s my guess that if Jesus were walking the earth today he’d be doing his fair share of table-flipping. (For those who don’t understand that comment, I refer to you Matthew 21:12-13 and Mark 11:15-17.) I challenge anyone – pastors especially – to visit https://founders.archives.gov/ and read the writings of our Founders. Read what morals and principles they based their ideas on. Read their comments to each other in their correspondence about how if America doesn’t operate on Christian principles, the country will fall apart.
Yet, too often, rather than speak the truth about those things, pastors worry about offending a tither. I’ve seen it. Over the past decades I’ve been on staff at two churches where senior pastors wanted us to stop doing something because a heavy tither didn’t like it. George Washington addressed that problem in a letter to Major General Robert Howe on August 17, 1779: “Few men have the virtue to withstand the highest bidder.”
Rather than encourage American citizens to fulfill their responsibilities in operating this bottom-up government, the overwhelming percentage of American pastors simply want people to fill their pews. They cherish their tax-free status. They don’t want to do anything that upsets their congregations.
Why is it when I go down to my state capitol during the legislative session, I don’t see any pastors in the halls talking with legislators? Why aren’t pastors testifying for or against legislation? Why aren’t they speaking out about material that amounts to pornography in our kids’ schools? The Apostle Paul’s letter to Galatians is clear that pornography is a sin – so why do so many pastors believe the lies of the Left, standing idly by while Marxists/ socialist pour their filth into our school systems?
While pastors stand idly by, legislators vote against laws that would put a stop to it.
Pastors, if you value the lives of your children and your children’s children, get off your comfortable chairs. Get down to your statehouse. Establish relationships with your state legislators. Don’t preach at them. Don’t tell them what to do. Just establish relationships. Buy them coffee. Take them to lunch. Find out what motivated them to become legislators. As the saying goes – people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. If you’re not caring about their life, they won’t care about your views.
Pastors, of all people, should realize that that porn in our schools will trash our society.
Let me say it again: I don’t see pastors at the statehouse testifying about how pornography has destroyed marriages … how it lead to teen pregnancies … how it leads to girls getting raped. You hear those stories, pastors, don’t tell me you don’t. Yet you do nothing when it comes to promoting legislation that would curtail the amount of porn available to elementary students.
Let me pose a question to all of America’s pastors: What would you do if you weren’t afraid?
