China At ‘Fever Pitch’ to Build Offensive Cyber Weapons
Worthy News
(Worthy News) – Chinese hackers are intensifying their attempts to infiltrate critical U.S. infrastructure networks to position themselves for future sabotage according to FBI Director Christopher Wray.
In a speech at a prominent security conference in Germany over the weekend, Mr. Wray highlighted that the cyber threat from China, particularly targeting infrastructure, is not a recent development. He pointed out that state-sponsored Chinese hackers have been pre-positioning themselves within the networks of oil and natural gas companies since as early as 2011.
“But these days, it’s reached something closer to a fever pitch,” FBI Director Wray stated. “What we’re seeing now, is China‘s increasing build-out of offensive weapons within our critical infrastructure, poised to attack whenever Beijing decides the time is right,” Wray continued.
At the end of January, Mr. Wray told a Congressional House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party, warning of the escalation of Chinese cyberattacks against vital U.S. infrastructure, including electrical grids, pipelines, and critical cyber systems.
Over the weekend, he reiterated his previous statements, adding that the FBI and its allies successfully neutralized four Russian hacking factions, including a key operation by the GRU, the Kremlin’s military intelligence agency. However, Wray warned that the cyber threat from China is “massive” and its operations exceeds the collective operations of all nations’ combined.

US Fears Russia Unveils Nuclear Weapon In Space This Year
Worthy News
WASHINGTON/MOSCOW/BUDAPEST (Worthy News) – U.S. officials have reportedly warned allies that Moscow will launch an anti-satellite nuclear weapon into orbit this year, a potentially devastating move threatening the West’s military and communications capabilities.
Moscow quickly denied the information reported by Bloomberg News agency and other U.S. media.
Yet, Russia’s apparent pursuit of a nuclear space-based weapon stirred a frenzy in Washington — and raised questions among a world of scientists and experts.
It remained unclear Tuesday whether this is a space-based nuclear weapon involving nuclear warheads, atomic reactions, and mushroom clouds.
However, several experts suggested that if the nuclear-powered satellite carries electronic weapons, it could cause havoc on Earth.
The weapon could cripple satellites that carry anything from the Global Positioning System (GPS) to weather forecasting and phone calls to wars and the global economy, experts say.
Yet it remained unclear Tuesday what sort of weapons the Kremlin may use.
However, nations remain concerned, saying the West is ill-prepared if President Vladimir Putin does deploy its nuclear weapon in space.

North Korea EMP attack could ‘shut down US power grid and kill 90% of Americans’
Two members of former congressional EMP commission warned Congress to take threats more seriously
Experts have warned Congress that it is ignoring a newly-developed weapon from North Korea which could shut down the US power grid and kill the vast majority of Americans within a year.
Two members of the disbanded congressional Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) commission said at a recent House Homeland Security subcommittee hearing that a nuclear EMP attack from Kim Jong Un was the “biggest threat” to the US yet it remains “unacknowledged” by the government.
More attention has been focused on the regime’s continued testing of intercontinental ballistic missiles this year, but the dictatorship also recently claimed to have tested a hydrogen bomb underground in September.
The regime said in a public statement that such a bomb could be detonated at high altitudes for “super-powerful EMP attack according to strategic goals”.
William Graham, chairman of the former EMP commission and its former chief of staff, Peter Vincent Pry, warned the hearing that such an attack could “shut down the US electric power grid for an indefinite period, leading to the death within a year of up to 90 per cent of all Americans.“
They urged the House to protect the grid, and warned that US ballistic missile defence systems are currently designed to intercept missiles from North Korea that approach the US over the North Polar region, but not over the South Polar region.
Former Republican representative Curt Weldon, one of the founders of the former commission, wrote in The Hill last month: “A nuclear EMP attack would destroy electronics everywhere, cause planes to crash, stop cars and rail traffic, blackout electric grids and other critical infrastructures that make modern civilization, and life itself, possible. Eventually, millions would die from starvation, disease, and societal collapse.”
The two former commission members added that North Korea is thought to have 60 nuclear weapons, and its intercontinental ballistic missiles could reach Denver and Chicago, and “perhaps the entire US”.
Experts such as former NASA rocket scientist James Oberg have previously warned that the regime could use a satellite to carry a small nuclear warhead and detonate it over the US.
Mr Graham and Mr Pry condemned the one-upmanship between Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un, who have called each other “rocket man” and “mentally deranged”, which has worsened tensions between the two countries.
The EMP commission was defunded under the new administration.
The regime is developing H-bombs which are “comparable to sophisticated US two-stage thermonuclear weapons”, they said.
